I bought this as my first set of flatware and I am very pleased. I have looked at other fine brands and liked this design the best. It is very elegant yet still simple enough to use everyday. It has a good feel and doesn't feel cheap. I recommend this flatware! :-)
Description of Yamazaki Alexandra ICE 5 Piece Placesetting
The company known as Yamazaki Tableware Inc. began as a family business in 1918 producing metal items crafted of copper, silver and brass. In 1932 they pioneered the production of stainless steel flatware, functioning as the factory of choice for many flThe lovely pattern of Alexandra Ice flatware makes a romantic complement to fine china or crystal stemware. Each piece features a satiny frosted handle crisscrossed at the tip and neck with mirror-finish raised bands. The working ends, generous in size and elegantly arced, are also highly polished for a reflective contrast. Crafted from 18/8 stainless steel, Alexandra Ice is pleasantly weighty, corrosion-resistant, and safe in the dishwasher. This 5-piece place setting includes a 6-3/4-inch salad fork, a 7-1/2-inch dinner fork, a 9-inch knife, a 7-1/2-inch soupspoon, and a 6-1/2-inch teaspoon.
